Iran, Hungary underline boosting parliamentary cooperation
EghtesadOnline: Iran's new ambassador in Budapest Gholam Ali Rajabi-Yazdi on Thursday underlined the need for promoting parliamentary cooperation between the two countries' legislatures.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Speaker of Hungarian Parliament Laszlo Kover.
He recalled Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's last year's visit to Tehran and signing of 10 memoranda of understanding, saying that all the efforts should be concentrated on implementing the deals, reports IRNA.
Speaker of Hungarian Parliament, for his part, congratulated Rajabi-Yazdi on his new mission, saying that promoting parliamentary cooperation between the two countries will pave the way for economic ties in other fields.
He said that remarkable number of Iranian students are studying in his country's universities, and that the issue will pave the way for enhancement of cultural ties between the two countries.
Iranian ambassador handed over Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani's letter of invitation to his Hungarian counterpart.
The Hungarian Speaker welcomed the invitation, saying that he will soon visit Tehran.
