Iran Ground Forces to stage military drill

EghtesadOnline: The new Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari has said the forces would hold a military maneuver in southeastern part of the country.

Iranian official stated that the maneuver aims at boosting the forces’ combat readiness, adding the drill would last for three day in an area of 220,000 square meters.

According to ISNA, he went on to say that modern equipment would be used during the drill, noting the Ground Forces would test the precision and range of the equipment in the drill.

Heidari underlined that Ground Forces are responsible for protecting the country’s territorial integrity.
