Shamkhani: Popularizing security is only way for durable stability in Iraq
EghtesadOnline: Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Rear- Admiral Ali Shamkhani says failure of Takfiri terrorism in Iraq proves capability of Iraqi government to repulse the most important security challenge of the region.
Shamkhani made the remarks in a meeting with head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Hojjatoleslam Seyed Ammar Hakim, IRNA reported.
He said that the only way for durable peace and stability in Iraq is popularizing the national security.
He said approval of a law to give authencity to Hashd al-Shaabi by Iraqi parliament is sign of Iraqi resolve to appreciate campaign of the Iraqi youth to bring back security to their country by dedicating their blood in the battlefield.
He said that decisive role and influence of popular forces to defeat Takfiri terrorists showed that the only way to restore durable stability in Iraq is popularizing defense.
He congratulated Ammar Hakim on valuable victories of Iraqi army and popular forces in operations to clean up terrorist elements in different provinces of Iraq, especially Mosul.
He said that integrated and powerful campaign of the brave children of Iraq, including Shia and Sunni Muslims, Kurds, Turkmen and Izadis against aggression and crimes against humanity perpetrated by Takfiri terrorists are clear example of national unity and integrity of all Iraqi ethnic groups and religions under a single flag.
He voiced pleasure with growing coordination and affinity of various Shia Muslims and underlined collective thinking and work by religious and ethnic groups in the framework of united Iraq.
'Mysterious efforts, guided from outside, to sow discord among united Iraqi people are at work, so that they must exercise vigilance, self-sacrifice and more contribution to drive the criminals to isolation,' he added.
He thanked Iraqi government and people for mobilizing all their facilities during Arbaeen ceremony to provide unprecedented reception to two million Iranian pilgrims of Imam Hussein (AS).
He said that Arbaeen was the biggest anti-tyranny and justice seeking congress worldwide which surpass all the religious, racial and geographical blocks and provides unrivaled capacity to counter the ringleaders of injustice, arrogance and above all the Zionist regime.
He said that all the occupied lands were taken back from Takfiri terrorists in Iraq and Syria and that countdown started for final defeat of the groups and their allies.
'To check renaissance of terrorism, effective campaign should be launched against extremists, Takfiris and their regional supporters and advocates, putting it on agenda of all Muslim states and international community.'
Hojjatoleslam Ammar Hakim for his part thanked Iran for its constant support for Iraq in fighting terrorism.
He said that unbreakable bonds of the two nations in light of religious, cultural and ideological affinities and determination of the leaders of the two countries provide exceptional ground for common interests of Iran and Iraq.
He provided a report on revival of national alliance of Shia Muslims and its impact on growing capacity for cooperation among the Shia groups and other Iraqi political wings.
'Today the most important need of the Iraqi community is more political integration and national unity to wisely apply the collection of national power to end Takifir terrorism, provide stability and economic and social development.'
