Iranian consulates in Turkey to start limited services on Dec 26
EghtesadOnline: Iran's embassy in Turkey declared that the Iranian consulate generals across the country namely in Ankara, Istanbul, Erzurum and Trabzon will start to offer limited consular services as of Monday.
The embassy said in its 4th statement released on Friday that the four offices will be providing restricted consular services from 10-12 AM till further notice.
The statement asked the Iranian citizens not to visit the consulate general offices in person in other times and encouraged them to visit the embassy's website for more information, according to IRNA.
After assassination of Russian ambassador in Turkey on December 19 which called for certain security considerations, the Iranian embassy declared closure of Iranian consulate general offices in Turkey on Tuesday.
After two days, they resumed part-time operations till Friday.
Ambassador Andrei Karlov, 62, was gunned down by a Turkish police officer while he was making a speech at the opening ceremony of an art gallery in the Turkish capital. The attacker was later shot dead by the police, media reports said.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Monday strongly condemned the assassination as an “act of evil.”
