Tehran-Barcelona Flights as of June
EghtesadOnline: Iran’s Mahan Air will start operating direct flights to Barcelona as of June, Eduardo Lopez Busquets, Spain’s ambassador to Iran, announced.
“We are also trying to launch direct flights to Madrid in the near future,” he said in a meeting with the head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, Zahra Ahmadipour, in Tehran, IRNA reported on Tuesday.
"Last year, 20,000 Iranians travelled to Spain. Establishing direct flights will considerably increase the exchange of tourists from both countries,” Busquets said.
Last week, Mahan started operating direct flights to Baku, according to Financial Tribune.
Mahan started operating in 1992 as the first private carrier in Iran, and has grown to own the largest fleet among Iranian carriers.
