Taxation Least Damaging Option to Finance Gov’t
EghtesadOnline: Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyebnia said the least damaging way of financing government expenditure is taxation.
“Tapping into oil revenues, issuing bonds and taxation are all economically harmful, but the government has no option but to meet its ever-growing expenditure related to the administration, education system, social and health services as well as for reducing social inequalities. Therefore, it should opt for the least damaging solution, i.e. taxation,” Mehr News Agency quoted Tayyebnia as saying on Wednesday, Financial Tribune reported.
