Iran's Non-Oil Trade With India Down 15%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 2.66 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $1.15 billion with India during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), registering a 17.87% and 15.32% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.

The above data were culled by Financial Tribune from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest report. Iran’s exports to India stood at 2.28 million tons worth $611.67 million, down 14.85% and 18.15% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. India was Iran’s sixth biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported urea, liquefied propane, ammonia and butane to India during the three-month period. India exported 381,716 tons of goods worth $538.64 million to Iran, down 32.25% and 11.86% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. India was the sixth major exporter of goods to Iran in the three months. The imports mainly included semi-milled rice, coal electrode and tea, Financial Tribune reported.
