Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Indonesia Doubles

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 617,979 tons of non-oil commodities worth $276.19 million with Indonesia during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), registering a 72.98% and 103.1% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.

Financial Tribune cited the data based on the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest report. Iran exported 582,281 tons of commodities worth $240.62 million to the Southeast Asian country to register an increase of 83.44% and 149.04% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Indonesia was Iran’s 10th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported liquefied propane, liquefied butane, non-alloy metal and steel ingot to Indonesia. Iran imported 35,698 tons of non-oil Indonesian goods worth $35.57 million, down 10.38% and 9.65% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Indonesia was the 30th major exporter of goods to Iran during the three months. Imports mainly included paperboard, medium-density fiber and industrial alcohols.
