Iran-Oman Non-Oil Trade Increases by 136% (March-May 2018)

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 998,304 tons of non-oil commodities worth $443.87 million with Oman during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), registering a 92.98% and 136.82% increase in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.

The data were reported by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.

Iran’s exports to Oman stood at 734,374 tons worth $223.18 million, up 54.89% and 61.81% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year.

Oman was Iran’s 11th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported hydrocarbide, semi-finished metal/steel products and steel ingots to Oman, according to Financial Tribune.

Oman exported 263,929 tons of goods worth $220.68 million to Iran during the three months under review, up 511.10% and 345.82% in tonnage and value respectively YOY.

The country was the 14th major exporter of goods to Iran.

The imports mainly included vehicles, field corn and pharmaceutical supplements.
