Iran's Non-Oil Trade Volume With Italy Up 40%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 371,876 tons of non-oil commodities worth $508.04 million with Italy during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 40.12% growth in tonnage and a 3.71% decrease in value compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest data show.

Iran’s exports to Italy stood at 324,347 tons worth $162.01 million, up 59.21% and 52.73% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Italy was Iran’s 13th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported non-alloy metal and steel, metal and steel ingots, as well as semi-finished metal and steel to Italy during the four-month period. Italy exported 47,528 tons of goods worth $346.03 million to Iran, down 22.94% and 17.92% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. It was also the 13th major exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included industrial furnaces, baking machinery and pumps, according to Financial Tribune.
