Trade With Vietnam Grows 40%

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 47,555 tons of non-oil commodities worth $65.92 million with Vietnam during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22).

This registers a 50.75% and 40.98% increase in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show. Iran’s exports to Vietnam stood at 40,111 tons worth $46.25 million, up 60.33% and 93.63% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Vietnam was Iran’s 27th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported shrimp, saffron and tar to Vietnam during the four-month period. Vietnam exported 7,443 tons of goods worth $19.66 million to Iran, up 14.04% in tonnage and down 14.01% in value respectively YOY. Vietnam was the 42nd exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included fish feed, cellphones and safety razor, according to Financial Tribune.
