President Raisi Stresses Results in Iran's Agreements, Economic Development
Iran President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized the need for tangible outcomes in Iran's agreements with other nations and economic development during a meeting with government officials on Monday morning.
EghtesadOnline: Echoing Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei's Nowruz remarks, he highlighted the year's slogan, emphasizing its alignment with Iran's pressing economic needs, particularly focusing on the necessity for significant advancements in production. He stressed, "Production must experience a leap; there must be rapid movement and major development in this field."
Additionally, Raisi underscored the imperative to eliminate production barriers, affirming, "We have good laws in this regard that must be implemented to pave the way for private sector growth."
Turning to policy matters, Raisi advocated for a cohesive approach, stating that domestic and foreign policies should synergize to propel production forward.
Addressing smuggling concerns, Raisi emphasized, "Smuggling is a dagger in the back of production, so when we are seeking to leap in production, we must vigorously combat smuggling, and the [right] mechanisms must be pursued."
Furthermore, Raisi highlighted the untapped potential of sea-centered policies, emphasizing the need for activation in the maritime economy.
Reflecting on economic progress, Raisi noted, "Today, we have witnessed economic and production growth, alongside reductions in inflation and cash growth."
Last week, during his speech marking the start of the new Iranian year, the President guaranteed that half-finished projects will be completed, with the goal of directing funds into production and infrastructure while overcoming previous setbacks. “The year 1403 will be the year of greater prosperity of production and economy, further reduction of the inflation rate and extensive service to the dear people,” the president added.
