An official at Customs Office of Ilam province says that over $1 billion worth of goods was exported from Mehran international border to neighboring Iraq in first nine months of current Iranian calendar year (started March 21).

The head of the customs office in Iran’s Ilam province said $1.346 billion worth of non-oil products has been exported from the province’s Mehran Border Crossing to neighboring Iraq in the current Iranian calendar year.

EghtesadOnline: Iran exported a total of $902 million worth of goods to Iraq through Mehran Border Crossing in the first nine months of the current fiscal year (started March 21).

EghtesadOnline: Managing Director of Ilam Customs said that the value of non-oil exports from Mehran border had 80% growth in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (beginning on March 20) compared to the previous year.

EghtesadOnline: A total of 75,972 tons of foreign goods were transited from the Mehran Border Terminal, located in Ilam Province along Iran’s border with Iraq, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21), registering a 55% rise compared with the corresponding period of last year, according to Zahedin Cheshmeh-Khavar, a local official.

EghtesadOnline: More than 2.35 million tons of goods worth $1.09 billion were exported from Iran to Iraq through the Mehran Border Terminal in the western Ilam Province during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21), registering an 84% and 72% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the corresponding period of last year, according to a local customs official.
