EghtesadOnline: Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani has described the July 2015 nuclear deal as an important factor in fulfillment of the five-percent economic growth in the country.

At a local meeting here on Monday, Larijani said that before the deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran was selling one million barrels of its oil per day while the number has presently risen to 2.5 million.

He further referred to that increase as an important factor in economic growth which has been predicted to be five percent by the end of the Iranian calendar year (started March 20), reports IRNA.

He then stressed that Iran should not be dependent on its oil revenues but rather plan for attracting foreign investment.

The speakder further referred to reopening of the foreign countries' credit lines in Iran as an opportunity for improving industry, transportation, tourism and environment in the country.
