EghtesadOnline: The clashes are underway between the government forces and Taliban militants in the Afghan city of Kunduz in the northern part of Afghanistan as most people have taken shelter in their homes and helicopters and fighter jets hit Taliban military positions.

A civilian source told IRNA on Thursday that the airstrikes take place by military choppers and fighter jets.

The provincial officials in Kunduz said that Taliban attacked the city from four different directions and they entered the city, but the next day Afghan Defense Ministry announced that the clashes in Kunduz have not ended and the city is under control of Afghan military men.

An Afghan Defense Ministry's spokesman, meantime, asked the media not elaborate on the details of war in Afghan provinces, because this measure will boost the terrorists' morale.
