EghtesadOnline: A senior Iranian official has announced that Tehran is ready to immediately dispatch air ambulances to Sana'a to transfer the Yemeni injured to the Iranian hospitals.

Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the special aide to Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, made the announcement in line with the readiness expressed by the Iranian parliament to aid the injured in Yemen.

In response to the recent Saudi air attacks on the funeral procession of the father of Yemeni interior minister in Sana'a which killed and wounded over 700 people, Amir Abdollahian said Iran is fully ready to settle a field hospital in Yemen to treat the wounded, reports IRNA.

He further stressed that the Saudis should halt the siege of the oppressed Yemenis so they could receive the emergency aid from Iran.

The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) is expected to facilitate the transfer of Iran's medical equipment to Yemen, Amir Abdollahian noted.
