Iran, Russia, Syria underline anti-terrorism cooperation

EghtesadOnline: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Syrian Foreign minister Walid al-Moallem underlined cooperation on campaign against terrorism.

The three foreign ministers held a trilateral meeting in Moscow on Friday.

Lavrov emphasized the need to take decisive action against terrorism in the region particularly in Syria, according to IRNA.

Russian foreign minister said he has discussed dispatch of humanitarian relief to aid to the war-torn regions with his Iranian and Syrian counterparts.

Cut-off access of the terrorists to arms were another topic raised by the three foreign ministers, Lavrov added.

In the trilateral meeting, Iranian foreign minister stressed importance of formation of a comprehensive international commitment to fight terrorism.

Cutting the support for Takfiri terrorist groups is necessary, he added.

The Iranian foreign minister called for settlement of the humanitarian crisis in Syria crisis through dialogue. 

The Syrian foreign minister for his part criticized US for refusal to help resolve the humanitarian crisis in Syria by political means.

The U.S. is responsible for defeat of Moscow-Washington agreement on Syria, because the US Administration only thinks of its own interests, he said.
