Train carrying tourists from 3 continents arrives in Mashhad

Director General of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Office Hossein Zare Sefat told IRNA that the train had crossed into Mashahd through Khosravi border northeast of Iran.

Zare Sefat said it was the fourth such train and started journey from Moscow just nine days ago.
He said the 29 tourists and 38 crew had already visited Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
They are from the American, European and Asian continents and will within week long stay in Iran visit the cities of Mashhad, Kerman, Yazd, Isfahan, Shiraz and Tehran, according to the official.
Mashhad metropolitan city annually hosts 25 million Iranian and more than two million foreign tourists.
