Iran, South Korea mull plan to dispatch Iranian technicians to Seoul

EghtesadOnline: Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiee conferred with South Korean Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Ki-kweon in Bali Island, Indonesia, on Tuesday, on a plan to dispatch Iranian technicians to Seoul.

The two ministers reviewed ways to develop cooperation on national social security and welfare, job security, insurance, entrepreneurship and dispatch of Iranian technicians to Seoul.

According to IRNA, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the 16th ILO Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting in Bali Island.

Cooperation on developing national social security, social welfare and insurance services, exchange of technical and vocational students, entrepreneurship and employment were the topics discussed by the two ministers.

Given the deep-rooted and longstanding friendly ties between South Korea and Iran, Lee Ki-kweon expressed hope for development of bilateral ties in future.

He said that Tehran and Seoul relations are promising.

The two ministers called for planning for regular meetings of the ministers.

Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia Valiollah Mohammadi was present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Iranian minister held a meeting with South Korean Minister of Health and Welfare Chung Chin-youb, calling for cooperation on services the government must provide for the labor and mechanism to improve social welfare.
