His speech came following the meddlesome remarks made by the UK Prime Minister, who accused Iran of aggressive acts in Middle East region addressing the Gulf Co-Operation Council in the Bahraini capital of Manama.
Iranian official stated that the reason behind such remarks is the fact that both the US and UK have lost their effective role in the region, adding their all speeches are worthless, according to ISNA.
He underlined that Iran’s established policy is the region’s peace and security, adding all those countries that support terrorism and lead to insecurity must be responded seriously.
“Iran is not after creating an empire and hegemony in the region,” he said. “Our viewpoint is aimed at improving unity.”
