Iran starts exporting wheat to Oman

EghtesadOnline: Head of Association for Iranian Food Industries Societies Mohammad Reza Mortazavi announced on Saturday that the first 35,000 tons consignment of wheat have been loaded in ship for destination of Oman.

Mortazavi said that this year our wheat export capacity is 2 million tons, which indicated Iran by programming may turn to a main exporter of wheat and flour.

According to IRNA, he also announced big and small consignments of wheat flour have been dispatched to Iraq this year.

Early this month, Deputy Agricultural Jihad Minister for commercial affairs Ali Akbar Mehrfard declared that over past three months 200,000 tons of wheat flour has been exported.

He reminded that Iran's agricultural crops have been exported directly to more than 30 countries.
