Iran's Exchange-Listed Firms Raise Over $74m in One Month

EghtesadOnline: Publicly-traded companies on Tehran Stock Exchange and Iran Fara Bourse had a total of 3.1 trillion rials ($74.7 million) added to their share capitals during the second month of the current fiscal year (April 21-May 21), indicating a 67% drop compared to the month before.

Out of the aggregate amount, 408 billion rials ($9.73 million) were raised through issuance of bonus share and 2.73 trillion rials ($65 million) through selling preferred stocks, ILNA reported. Firms' capital increase for the first two months of the year stood at a total of 13.1 trillion rials ($312.08 million).

TSE, established in 1967, is Iran's largest exchange with a market capitalization of 3.72 quadrillion rials ($88.5 billion), followed by the smaller IFB with a market cap of 1.52 quadrillion rials ($36.3 billion rials) as of Tuesday, according to Financial Tribune.
