Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Egypt at $220m

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 504,425 tons of non-oil commodities worth $220.82 million with Egypt during the last fiscal year (ended March 20, 2019) to register a 32.82% and 14.53% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with the year before, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Iran’s exports to Egypt stood at 503,820 tons worth $217.75 million, down 32.33% and 13.44% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. 

Egypt was Iran’s 22nd export destination during the year.

Iran mainly exported non-alloy semi-finished iron/steel products, non-alloy iron/steel ingots, methanol and chemicals to Egypt during the 12-month period, Financial Tribune reported.

It exported 604,473 tons of goods worth $3.06 million to Iran, down 90.52% and 54.92% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. 

Egypt was the 91st exporter of goods to Iran over the year.

The imports mainly included blade, safety razor and smoking pipes.
