74% Rise in Sistan-Baluchestan Exports

EghtesadOnline: A total of 513,164 tons of goods worth $690 million have been exported from Sistan-Baluchestan Province’s customs terminals and border markets since the beginning of the current Iranian year on March 20, which shows a 74% rise in value compared with the similar period of last year.

Superintendent of Sistan-Baluchestan Customs Administration Reza Rasti was quoted as saying by IRNA on Sunday that the exports mainly included cement, washing powder, eggplant, dates, coriander seed, plaster and chocolate. 

The official noted that imports during the same period stood at 735,539 tons worth $363.51 million, indicating a 40% year-on-year drop.

Imports mainly included wheat, barley, rice, mangos, sesame seeds and livestock.

Sistan-Baluchestan’s border markets include Gamshad and Milak in Hirmand County, Mirjaveh in a county with the same name, Jalq and Kuhak in Saravan County, Pishin in Sarbaz County and Rimdan in Chabahar.
