Iran-China economic commission to open new horizon before both countries

EghtesadOnline: The 16th official Iran-China economic commission will meet in Beijing Tuesday.

The two-day event is expected to open up a new horizon between the two countries.

Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyebnia is leading Iran’s delegation to the meeting, reports ISNA.

The commission met for the last time in Tehran in 2014.

The current meeting is significant in that it is supposed to follow up 17 cooperation agreements signed between Tehran and Beijing during the visit of the Chinese President Xi Jinping to Iran in January.

Tomorrow’s meeting will highlight the need for expanding ties between the two nations and try to work scheme a roadmap to this end.

Tayyebnia arrived in the Chinese capital city Monday to take part in the joint economic commission.

The Tuesday meeting will be chaired by Tayyebnia on behalf of Iran.

The Iranian delegation which comprises of representatives of banking, oil, trade and cultural sectors will hold talks with senior Chinese officials.

The delegation is to sign different agreements on various issues with the Chinese side.

China as a big economic power in the world has constantly expressed willingness to widen relations with Iran.
