Chile dispatches temporary Chargé d'affaires to Iran after 35 years
EghtesadOnline: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif is visiting Chile next week, with the country has reopened its embassy in Tehran several months ago and dispatched temporary Chargé d'affaires to Iran.
Zarif and his Chilean counterpart met on the sidelines of the annual UN summit last year where the two sides discussed reopening Chilean embassy in Tehran, and expanding bilateral ties in various fields, including agriculture.
Chile reopened its embassy in Tehran early 2016 after 35 years and dispatched temporary Chargé d'affaires to the country later, according to ISNA.
Chile mainly exports boric acid, pulp and fruit like apple, pears and grapes, and Iran exports pistachio, raisins, carpet and rug to the Latin American country.
