3m Tons of Cargo in Transit During 4 Months
EghtesadOnline: More than 3 million tons of transit cargo was transported in Iran during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), registering a 15.3% rise compared with the similar period of a year before, according to an official with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Reza Nafisi.
Of this volume, he added, 860,000 tons were oil products and 2.2 million tons were non-oil goods, the ministry’s news service reported. Shahid Rajaee Port in the southern city of Bandar Abbas was the most active transit terminal, accounting for 36.4% of the overall volume, followed by Parvizkhan (18.5%) and Bazargan (10.8%) border terminals, according to Financial Tribune.
