Oman mulls investment opportunities in Iran
EghtesadOnline: An Omani economic delegation arrived on Wednesday at Jask port in Hormuzgan province to attend a gathering mulling investment opportunities in the province, Head of Industry, Mine and Commerce in Hormuzgan province Khalil Qasemi said.
The Omani 35 member delegates led by Director General for Commerce and Industry Khamis Bin Abdullah Alfarsi.
During the one-day tour, according to IRNA, the Omani delegation will have different meetings on investment opportunities between Iran and Oman private sectors.
The Omani delegation is to invest in agriculture, fisheries, handicrafts and foodstuffs.
Oman has a very good political relation with Iran and is to broaden economic cooperation with the country through reducing costs of shipment of the goods, Qasemi said.
Political and economic cooperation between Iran and Oman have been bolstered mainly in the past three years and direct flights between Bandar Abbas and Muscat have been established recently.
