Yazd Earns $10m in 7 Months

EghtesadOnline: Close to 1.24 million tons of goods worth over $10 million were exported from Yazd Province in central Iran during the seven months to Oct. 22.

Director General of Yazd Customs Offices Mehrdad Pirhayati added that this registered an 11% and 14% growth in weight and value respectively compared with the corresponding period of last year, ISNA reported.

“Tiles and ceramics, rebars, hydrocarbons, glass dishes, artificial stones, plastic products and construction glass were the main goods exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain and Georgia,” he said.

The official added that close to 18,430 tons of products worth over $2.2 million were imported into the province during the same period, indicating a 3% decline in weight and a 10% increase in value, according to Financial Tribune.

Turkey, China, Italy, South Korea, the Czech Republic and Spain were the main countries from where products were imported into Yazd.
