Semnan Agro Exports Top 20K Tons
EghtesadOnline: More than 20,000 tons of agricultural products worth $24 million were exported from Iran’s Semnan Province during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21) to register a 40% growth in value, the head of Semnan Agricultural Jihad Organization said.
“The exported products include chicken, apple, lentil, grapes, raisins, dried fruits, dairy products, cheese, cream and yogurt,” Hassan Mir-Emad also told IRNA.
Iraq, Russia, Kuwait, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Armenia, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, Qatar, Bahrain, Azerbaijan Afghanistan and Turkey were the export destinations, according to Financial Tribune.
Semnan Province is located in the east of Tehran Province. More than 43,000 farmers there earn their living farming on 198,000 hectares of land, Mehr News Agency reported.
