Minister: Iran attaches great importance to promotion of ties with Tajikistan
EghtesadOnline: Iran attaches great importance to promotion of ties with Tajikistan, Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian said on Tuesday.
He made the remarks in the closing ceremony of the 11th Iran-Tajikistan joint commission, according to IRNA.
The bilateral economic relations between Iran and Tajikistan should enhance to the level of political relations between the two countries, the energy minister added.
He said that Iran attaches great importance to promotion of relations with the neighboring friend countries including Tajikistan.
The official said that Iran and Tajikistan inked several cooperation documents in fields of banking, custom, trade, energy, culture, education, transportation and media on Tuesday.
Chitchian said a deadline for paying debts of Iranian contractors who are building Sangtuda 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant in Tajikistan has been fixed.
Tajikistan Energy Minister Osman Ali Osmanzadeh praised the Iranian companies' activities in Tajikistan.
He voiced hope for development of all-out ties between Iran and Tajikistan in all fields.
