220,000 tons of commodities exported through Semnan Customs in 8 months

EghtesadOnline: The Managing Director of Semnan Customs said that about 220,000 tons of commodities in the first 8 months of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20) which has earned more than $95m in foreign exchange.

Speaking in an expert meeting on becoming familiar with Export Development Bank of Iran's services and capacities in Semnan, Ali Saddedin said that the average value of each ton of exported goods reached $342 which had 80% growth compared to the same period last year, IRNA reported. 

He added that exports from Semnan had 33% fall in weight and 19% rise in value. 

Saddedin noted that over 50 kinds of goods have been exported to 34 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Korea, Taiwan, China and Tanzania. 

The exported commodities consisted of washing powder, lead, cement, ferrosilice, steel dishes, pipe, color, plastic home appliances, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), tiles, sodium hypochlorite, air conditioning systems, animal offal, animal cryolite, gas, conductors, water heater and water cooler, sanitary valves, salt, hose, goat's hair, frozen chicken.
