Iranian, Kyrgyz parliament speakers sign MoU

EghtesadOnline: The speakers of Iran and Kyrgyzstan parliaments signed a memorandum of understanding in Tehran on Monday.

Ali Larijani, Majlis (Parliament) speaker, and Chynybai Tursunbekov, the speaker of the Kyrgyz Republic parliament signed the memorandum to enhance parliamentary relations between the two countries, IRNA reported. 

According to the memorandum, the two sides resolved to cooperate in legislation procedures, research, sharing laws, committee and observation activities, administrative infrastructures, etc.

The two countries also decided to encourage interparliamentary relations through creating interparliamentary friendship groups and organizing regular exchanges by holding mutual visits. 

Also fighting extremism and terrorism in the region and improving the economic and trade ties were parts of the memorandum.
