Iran-Switzerland cooperation in nuclear safety
EghtesadOnline: Iran and Switzerland began their technical cooperation in the field of nuclear safety.
The deputy of Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (ENSI) and the deputy of Supreme Council for the ENSI accompanied by a delegation of experts presented themselves at Iran’s Nuclear Safety System Center on November 25-26 and officially began their cooperation with this center, ISNA reported.
During the two-day meetings, the Swiss delegation organized professional seminars and gave technical advice in the area of the management system, the safety culture, the management of depreciation and the operations and measures taken at the Swiss power stations after the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
At the end, both parties agreed to continue the bilateral cooperation and organize the educational courses and technical workshops in other professional fields such as nuclear emergency response program, natural radiation and highly radioactive waste by 2018.
