Growth in Sistan-Baluchestan Cross-Border Trade
EghtesadOnline: Atotal of 1.2 million tons of goods have been exported from Sistan-Baluchestan Province’s border markets since the beginning of the current fiscal year (March 21), registering a 33% growth compared with the corresponding period of last year, Mobin-Ali Mir, a local official, said on Dec. 29.
Cement, tile, ceramic, biscuit, cake, fresh fruit, vegetable and fruit juice are the main goods exported through the province’s border markets.
The official noted that the province’s livestock imports during the period grew by 53%.
Sistan-Baluchestan Province is located in southeast Iran. The largest province in the country has a coastal border with Oman Sea to the south and borders Pakistan and Afghanistan to the east.
