Iran’s ‘The Salesman’ to be shown in Toronto int’l fest

EghtesadOnline: Iran’s ‘The Salesman’ directed by Asghar Farhadi is going to be showcased in Toronto International Film Festival as the event is celebrating its 41st edition.

The Iranian movie is going to be shown in the special section of the event, reports ISNA.

‘The Salesman’ was first premiered in the 68th Cannes International Film Festival in which it managed to win the Best Actor and Best Scenario awards.

Toronto International Film festival opens on September 8 and closes on September 17.

It was first held in 1976 named ‘the festival of festivals’ in which over 35.000 people from 30 countries took part.

In 2009, over half a million people from 64 countries watched 336 movies of the festival.
