EghtesadOnline: Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi made the remarks in the Inauguration ceremony of the Qiz-Qalasi Dam, the largest joint water project between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the East Azarbaijan Province on Sunday.
The relationship between the two nations of Iran and Azerbaijan will not be broken in any way, Raeisi said.
This project is very important and it gives hope to the dear nation of Iran and Azerbaijan on the one hand and it causes despair to the enemies of the two nations and the two countries, Raeisi added.
Expressing Tehran's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Raeisi said , "We are ready to build the Karabakh region and use the engineering capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this region."
"The enemies do not want to see the progress of Azerbaijan and Islamic Iran, but we believe that any progress in Azerbaijan is our progress and any insecurity on the borders of the two countries will be a loss for both countries," Raeisi also said.
Iran and Azerbaijan are continuing the construction of the strategic Aras Corridor, he said adding, "This corridor is very important in our opinion." / Mehr
