During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian reiterated that Yemeni crisis can be settled only through political means.
He said that holding sessions in Yemeni parliament as the existing legitimate and legal organization could significantly help boosting official and parliamentary cooperation between Yemen and the world. “Iran’s parliament welcomes widening parliamentary ties with Yemen.”
According to ISNA, he also said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is closely pursuing Yemeni developments and supports any solution based on political dialogue among local groups and without any foreign interference.
The leader of the Yemeni delegation appreciated Iran’s positive and humanitarian positions to settle Yemeni crisis.
He also said the parliament continues holding sessions despite all economic and social embargo and it is backed by the people.
The Yemeni official said that Yemeni parliament welcomes expanding bilateral ties with Iranian parliament.
