Iran, France to cooperate in tackling dust particles

EghtesadOnline: Vice President and Head of Iran's Department of the Environment, Massoumeh Ebtekar said here on Sunday that Iran and France are set to cooperate in the fields of tackling haze and dust particles.

Talking to reports, Ebtekar made the remarks following her meeting with the French visiting Minister of Environment, Energy and Marine Affairs Ségolène Royal. 

َAccording to IRNA, she added the two countries are determined to cooperate in the fields of improving water consumption pattern and water resources management.

Ebtekar underscored that she has officially invited French minister to visit Iran, adding the two sides also discussed the ways for following up the mutual agreements inked during President Hassan Rouhani visit to France.

Commenting on the upcoming international environment exhibition to be held in Iran in near future, she said the ways for preparing the ground for presence of French state and private companies in the event also were reviewed. 

Ebtekar also expressed her satisfaction over Royal's visit, adding the move indicates France's strong will for fostering cooperation with Iran in environmental arena. 

The visit also carries a strong message to the international community expressing that countries can have serious cooperation on environmental issues in line with their common interests.

Royal, heading a delegation comprising a number of French private companies, arrived in Tehran late Saturday.
