Leader: Defense, offensive might will dissuade bullying powers

According to IRNA, the Supreme Leader made the remarks during a tour to the the exhibition of the defense industry.

In the fair various systems such as advanced missiles, radars, marine devices, optic, armored, drone and telecommunication centers have been showcased.

Various types of short- range medium and long-range anti-missile systems were also displayed in the exhibition.

After touring the exhibition, the Supreme Leader said that the defense ministry officials and experts are expected to mount the defensive and offensive might of Iranian forces to the level they deserve. 

In a world where bullying powers have ignored the rights and ethics of the people, conscience and humanity and invade countries and carnage defenseless people recklessly, expansion of defense industries and offensive military apparatus is a need, the Supreme Leader said. 

By the time the bullying powers, have not felt the country's strength and authority, they will not respect the country's security, Ayatollah Khamenei said. 

The Supreme Leader expressed pleasure with watching the vigilant, capable, knowledgeable, researcher and those having deeds and faith simultaneously is source of pride. 

Presence of such forces should be regarded as a precious and priceless jewelry, the Supreme Leader said. 

While bullying powers have expanded their domination and commit crime mercilessly and bombard wedding ceremony or hospital under the pretext to fight with terrorism and massacre, hundreds of thousand innocent civilians who are not accountable to any organizations or institutions, all should mount their defense power in a way that the bullying power feel the threat to its existence, the Supreme Leader said. 

There is no doubt Iran has limits in broadening its defense capabilities as weapons of mass destruction, chemical weapons and nuclear arms have been forbidden in our religious beliefs, the Supreme Leader said. 

Proliferation of chemical weapons in offensive sector is forbidden but mounting defense capabilities against chemical weapons is allowed, the Supreme Leader said. 

Except this, there is no limit in increasing defense and military capabilities of the Iranian forces and any effort to attain the goal should be regarded as a duty, the Supreme Leader said. 

'To safeguard the security of the nation, in addition to defense might we have to increase our offensive might as well,' the Supreme Leader said.

The arrogant powers, the so-called advocates of rationality and fairness are opposed to purchase of defense apparatus by Iran, they themselves do not abide by the principles of ethics, the Supreme Leader said. 

The US administration lack ethics, said the Supreme Leader adding that neither the governing party or its political rival in the former US government failed to observe ethics as both of them committed various crimes against humanity and atrocities, the Supreme Leader said.

The current US administration apparently attacks one terrorist group while ignoring the other terrorist group and this is the meaning of supremacy of politics to ethics, the Supreme Leader said. 
Former US administration was responsible for all the warcrimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan as they victimized millions of innocent civilians and even thousands of Iraqi scientists who were identified by man-hunt and killed by 'Blackwater' and were assassinated, Ayatollah Khamenei said. 

Consequently, neither of the two main parties in US have no ethical eligibility and none is preferred over the other, the Supreme Leader said. 

In US we have to face with such governments and assuming to reach common points through talks will be a grave mistake, the Supreme Leader underlined. 

'To the same reason, I insist on avoiding negotiations with the US and the experience indicates that the Americans seek to impose their wishes instead of reaching understanding and recent events are good proof to such an assertion,' the Supreme Leader said. 

Before the Supreme Leader's remarks, Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan briefed the Supreme Leader on the activities of his ministry.
