Rafsanjani praises Leader's support for nuclear deal

EghtesadOnline: Chairman of Iran's Expediency Council on Friday praised the Supreme Leader's support for nuclear talks which resulted in a nuclear deal between Iran and G5+1.

Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani was quoted as saying by Governor General of the north-eastern province that the world powers were planning to intensify sanctions against Iran and humiliate the Iranian people by imposing an Oil-for-Food Program on the Islamic Republic. 

Referring to the 2013 presidential election that brought to power President Hassan Rouhani, Rafsanjani said that following the election the situation started changing in favor of Iran on the international scene.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution was the one who initiated activities for resolution of nuclear issue to ward off potential dangers against the people and Revolution evcen before the new government of President Hassan Rouhani assumed power, he said referring to the nuclear negotiations between Tehran Washington mediated by Muscat. 

The nuclear negotiators proved the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program to the world, the official was quoted as saying.

Speaking about the positive aspects of the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action, Rafsanjani said that Iran has been officially permitted to use the most advanced nuclear technologies.

Warning about provoking sectarian conflict among members of the Islamic Ummah, the senior cleric also said that crimes committed by the Saudis in Yemen are worse than the Zionist crimes in Palestine.
