Parliamentary advisor slams Kerry on remarks about MKO terrorists

EghtesadOnline: Senior Iranian official criticized on Wednesday recent remarks by US Secretary of State John Kerry about transferring the last survivors of the terrorist group of Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) from Iraq to Europe.

Instead of taking a positive step toards saving lives of the helpless people of the region, Syria in particular, US proudly speaks about safeguarding the security of the MKO terrorist group, said Special Advisor to parliament speaker for international affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Speaking to IRNA he stressed a review on manner of and statements made by the US politicians would make it completely clear that they have not taken and are not to take any positive step to save lives of the people of the regional countries, Syria in particular, from the clutch of terrorists.

'On one hand, the White House is trying to hold ceasefire in Aleppo to save the terrorists under siege of the Syrian Army, and on the other hand it talks about safeguarding the MKO terrorists' security,' Amir-Abdollahian said.

Touching upon the grave humanitarian crisis in cities of al-Foua and Kefraya in northwestern Syria that are under full siege of terrorists, he underscored that the people of those regions are suffering from lack of medicine, drinking water and food deficit.

Noting that the US does not pay due attention to the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Syria, Amir-Abdollahian said that even the United Nations, taking into consideration the US behavior, is not capable of removing the siege of al-Foua and Kefraya.

While Muslims of Iraq, al-Foua and Kefraya are suffering from insecurity, Kerry is proudly talking about safeguarding MKO's security, Amir-Abdollahian regretted.

The US Secretary of State has recently said that transferring the MKO terrorists from Iraq to Europe was an 'important achievement for US diplomacy'.
