He made the remarks in meeting with Iraqi Minister of Planning and acting Minister of Trade Salman al-Jumaili, reports IRNA.
Larijani said that all the regional governments must honor their International Responsibility to fight against extremism and terrorism.
He called for diplomatic settlement of the regional disputes, saying that political and diplomatic settlement of the disputes are the sole way to establish stability and tranquility in the region.
Regarding the deep historical and cultural common grounds between the two nations, Larijani said that Iran and Iraq are expected to develop politico-economic and cultural relations, especially the parliamentary ties.
