Iran strongly denounces attacks on Kirkuk

EghtesadOnline: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi strongly denounced attacks on Iraqi city Kirkuk by Coalition warplanes which left innocent people killed and wounded.

Calling this deadly attack suspicious, Iranian high-ranking official stated that all hands behind this “savage act” must be disclosed.

Ghasemi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, especially families of Iranian technicians who have been killed in the attack, reports ISNA.

Several Iranian technicians were killed and three others left wounded in the attack carried out by the coalition warplanes on a power plant north of Kirkuk.

“Terrorists are taking their last breaths and by such attacks, they are attempting to make up for their humiliating defeats in the battlefields, “underlined Ghasemi.

Kirkuk is some 170 kilometers (100 miles) from the Daesh-held city of Mosul, where Iraqi forces have been waging a wide-scale offensive since Sunday.
