CBI chief slams US different attitude towards nuclear deal

EghtesadOnline: Governor of Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Valiollah Seif criticized US different behavior towards Iran compared to other nuclear negotiating countries, it was reported on Sunday.

Seif made the remarks in a meeting with President of Bank of China Siqing Chen in Tehran, reports IRNA.

He added Washington is creating obstacles in the process of the nuclear deal due to not getting benefit from Iran's relations with other countries.

Touching upon the P5+1 group of countries' enthusiasm to expand their economic relations with Iran following the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he added the Sextet states are seeking to utilize Iran's investment capacities in the regional market.

Seif underscored that China enjoys more amicable relations with Iran among the P5+1 countries and is fully aware the situation of the Iranian market.

Commenting on the necessity of establishing a representative office for the Chinese bank in Iran, Seif underscored that the office could present the accurate and transparent information about possible market risks.

He added Iran has always considered China as its strategic partner, calling for expansion of banking relations with this Asian country.

Chen, for his part, said his visit aims at expanding monetary relations with Iran.

He added the Chinese side is seeking to establish a representative office in Iran.

Chen underscored that expansion of Chin-Iran relations would serve the interests of the two nations.

Hailing Iran's powerful economy, he added the Bank of China is seeking to play an active role Iran.
