Zarif made the remarks in the meeting with liaison officers and commanders of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic.
Current regional developments have created an outstanding status for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the country with reliance on its principles and genuine morale of the Islamic Revolution is now regarded as the first power in the region leaving significant impacts on regional and global developments, according to IRNA.
Zarif said that under leadership of the Supreme Leader, the Islamic Republic of Iran is passing a very sensitive juncture labeled as dangerous historical curve which all should exercise vigilance and identify threats and place trust in the domestic capabilities including military and economic capabilities and above all the Islamic and revolutionary principles.
On his talks with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, Zarif said the two sides reviewed various issues such as ending the Syrian conflict through political and diplomatic means, fight against terrorism and respect for right of Syrian people to determine their own fate.
