Iranian official stated that the progress of negotiations with different foreign companies and countries to purchase heavy water, some quantities of Iran's surplus production have been shipped to Oman.
In an exclusive interview with Iranian Students’ News Agency, Kamalvandi said shipping Iran’s heavy water to Oman has commercial aspect, adding that the country has so far sold 32 tons of heavy water to the United States and about 38 tons to Russia.
Kamalvandi stressed that Iran has remained committed to its JCPOA obligations, including those concerning its heavy water stockpiles.
