Putin: Russia committed to boost all-out ties with Iran

EghtesadOnline: Russia is committed to boost all-out ties with Iran, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a telephone conversation with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Monday evening.

Putin expressed his condolences to the Iranian people and government for the train collision in northern province of Semnan, IRNA reported.

Referring to the mutual, regional and international cooperation between Tehran and Moscow, he said that Russia is committed to boost the level of cooperation with Iran in all fields.

The volume of trade exchange between Iran and Russia had a significant increase in the first season of 2016 compared to the previous year, Russian president said.

Holding the joint Iran-Russia commission can help promotion of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow and is promising for joint execution of sizable projects in the field of transportation, oil, gas and peaceful nuclear field, he noted.

Putin referred to Russia's credit line for progress of joint projects in Iran including construction of power plant in Bandar Abbas and electrification of Inche-Broun to Garmsar railway and noted that Russia's giant oil and gas companies are interested in development of cooperation with Iran.

Putin said Kremlin would continue cooperation with Iran for resolution of regional problems and cooperation between the two states in Syria would continue until the liberation of Syrian people from terrorists.
