Iranian banks to open new branches in Sweden

EghtesadOnline: Presidential Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian said different Iranian banks would open branches in Sweden.

In a meeting with Swedish trade minister and members of the International Council of Swedish Industry (NIR), Nahavandian stressed the importance of attracting foreign investment though different areas of cooperation.

He stated that Iran and Sweden could expand mutual ties in different fields of energy, transportation, Information Technology and environment, ISNA reported.

Iranian official called on Swedish companies to benefit from Iran’s private sector, adding cooperation on trade and commerce plays significant role for both countries.

For her part, Sweden's Minister of EU Affairs and Trade Ann Linde said her country welcomed opening new branches of Iranian banks and said expanding mutual relations can benefit both sides.

Nahavandian arrived on Thursday evening in Stockholm to meet with the country's top economic officials on expansion of bilateral trade.
