Speaking in a meeting with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari on Friday, Berri referred to negotiations that have been made among different streams in Lebanon under his supervision as a unique example of dialogue among various political and social factions, religions and streams.
He further underscored the need for adopting the same pattern for solving problems across the region, IRNA reported.
During the meeting both sides underscored continuation and development of cooperation and ties between Iran and Lebanon.
Ansari congratulated Lebanese leaders on their successes especially for achieving political agreement, saying that it signifies the maturity of the Lebanese society which comes from its long experiences of these areas.
'Lebanon has been able to present two successful patterns to the world, namely its resistance against Zionist occupation and also its social peaceful coexistence' he added.
He noted that the latest agreement in electing Lebanon President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Saad Hariri and establishing new government can be regarded as the third successful pattern for solving disputes among political and social factions in the region.
General Aoun was elected as the 13th Lebanon's president by absolute majority of votes cast by the parliament on October 31, 2016.
Ansari expressed hope that this consensus would have positive impact not only on Lebanon, but on the region.
